Step 4 - How to get your full boxes collected.
1.
To arrange for the collection of you full then log into the C.A.B.S. system and simply follow the on screen instructions.
2.
Please make sure that all boxes and items are labelled to there destination address along with the persons name who is receiving them and the reference number giving to you by the C.A.B.S. system, this number will start with the letter B.
3.
Make sure all boxes are taped up and sealed securely.
4.
Make sure you have completed all the paper work required so we can submit it to customs in the destination country for you.
The C.A.B.S. system will let you know what paper work is required, normally this is a copy of your passport, an inventory list of what you have packed and sending, and a customs form if required.
5.
On the day of collection you must make sure your boxes are on the ground floor and at the entrance to your building, the driver will normally call you 10 to 30 mins prior to arriving, this will give you the time needed in which to place your boxes on the ground floor if not already done.
Extra information on collecting your boxes
Please make sure that each box or suitcase is not over 40kgs, if you are unable to move the box then it is reasonably expected that the driver will not be able to lift it.
We reserve the right not to collect any boxes which are over 40kgs and may ask you to repack them into other boxes or they may be repacked for you back at our warehouse, extra charges may result for repacking or delaying the driver for any reason.
Large items which you wish to send i.e. grandfather clock, beds etc will require you to help the driver carry and lift it into the van.
Our baggage drivers normally work on their own so any large or heavy items may require help from you.
There is no time limit on packing your boxes so take as long as you need, after all you may be sending them around the world so make sure they are packed securely and safe, for more information on packing your boxes click here.
You can also send your own suit cases, boxes, bikes, TV’s, in fact just about anything and remember we offer a packing service back at our warehouse if required.
You should have completed all paper work required to send your items to that particular country, the driver will give you a form with all the information need to complete these steps or you can log into C.A.B.S and follow the on screen instruction.
If you are using your own printed form i.e. you downloaded them from this website then make copies of what you have for future reference, or if the driver supplied you with forms then a carbon copy will be given to you when your goods are picked up.
Please make sure you inform us of any items which require packing so we can bring blanket wrap or other equipment to protect them for the journey back to our warehouse.
We reserve the right to not collect any goods which are not packed correctly or are not being packed by us at our warehouse as sending these items will be pointless, there is no point in sending goods which will be damaged or arrive in poor condition at the destination.
All items must be clearly labelled with you destination name and address and your reference number along with each item numbered i.e. 1of 4 and 2 of 4 etc.
If boxes are not clearly labelled we reserve the right to make extra charges to have the warehouse label your items for you.
All paper work must be handed to the driver on collection and must be fully completed.
If any of the paper work is not completed or missing then we reserve the right to make extra charges for office administration.
We can not however check if the customs forms or other important paper work has been filled in correctly as answers may very for each customer, incomplete or wrongly filled in paper work often results in customs at the destination country impounding your goods and making huge charges for you to re-submit your paper work plus storage and the release of your goods from impound.
Please make sure any items that contain dirt, i.e. shoes, bike tyres, camping equipment etc is cleaned thoroughly as some countries may make a charge to clean them for you.
