1.
Contract Number
Your
contract number is your reference through out your full movement from the time
you book to the point of delivery. Your consignment is identified with a four /
five digit number proceeded by the letter B
and must be provided at all times.
2.
Courier Methods
When
sending courier consignments over to Europe we will use courier dispatch methods
were consignments are booked and discharged on trailers weekly. A courier
service is an express service which can take a few days or a couple of weeks.
A
courier method is also used nationwide to cover areas where our scheduled daily
vehicles can not cover and these can sometimes be treated for special delivery
requirements.
3.
Daily Cut–Off Time
Despite
our large coverage ability for our daily scheduled deliveries and collections,
there comes a time were Allfreight ceases to book additional jobs in order to
maintain and proceed with our scheduled daily deliveries.
4.
Delivery / Collection Charges
Allfreight
offer one free delivery and one free collection within the M25 motorway.
Additional
delivery collection surcharges will be incurred at a flat rate for areas outside
of this given zone dependant on the distance to the address nationwide.
5.
Destination Charges
Allfreight’s
rates DO NOT include destination charges such as Duty Excise, Duty, Vat,
inspection charges, storage, disposal charges, inspection costs, cleaning
charges.
The
above destination charges listed could be subject to the physical condition of
the contents, incorrect or incomplete documentation could result into storage
costs. Our qualified staff can advise you on how to complete the relevant
documentation.

Inspection Fee (Australia)
A fee is
usually incurred at destination on every consignment of personal effects being
imported into Australia; this fee is raised by the ‘Australian Quarantine
Inspection Service’ (AQIS) and is for the processing of paper work and
physical inspection of personal effects.
United Kingdom -

Approximately AUD80.00 – AUD100.00
MAF
Inspection Fee (New Zealand)
A fee is
usually incurred at destination on every consignment of personal effects being
imported into New Zealand; this fee is raised by the ‘Ministry of Agriculture
and Forestry’ (AQIS) and is for the processing of paper work and physical
inspection of personal effects.
United
Kingdom - New Zealand Approximately NZD90.00 – NZD150.00
Cargo
Dues Fee (South Africa)
A
government handling fee (not an inspection fee) which is billed at a flat rate
for the overall consignment of personal effects that moves through the seaports
and airports in South Africa? Allfreight would suggest that this fee is paid
prior to export along with the rest of the shipping charges to avoid any delays
in South Africa.
6.
Door to Deport Service
The Door
– to – Depot services via ports / airports allows the consignment to travel
from the door of the building at the collection address to our chosen agent
depot / warehouse or the airline’s chosen cargo bond.
7.
Door to Door Service
The Door
– to – Door service via ports / airports allows the consignment to travel
from the door of the building at the collection address to the door of the
building at the destination address.
The
consignment will have been cleared through the Customs Authorities by our B.A.R.
Overseas agent where they will off load and deliver your goods to the required
B.A.R Standard.
8.
Express Service
When
a consignment is sent overseas via our express service the transit method used
would be by Airfreight to insure an expedient delivery service. Allfreight
International are authorised by HM Revenue and Customs to give our clients the
reassurance they need when we handle their air freight consignments.
9.
Groupage Service
When
a consignment is sent overseas via our groupage service the transit method used
would be by a consolidated groupage container service where consignments are
placed in sealed marine containers. The transit time is longer than our express
service as time allowed is weeks instead of days however rates are far more cost
effective for the larger excess baggage shipment.
10.
HM Revenue and Excise approved
Allfreight
International are authorised by HM Revenue and Customs to give our clients the
reassurance they need when we handle their ocean / air / road freight
consignments. As an approvable government bonded warehouse, our standards must
be to the highest level in order for us to deal with customs and the airlines
directly.
11.
Important Documentation
Upon
delivery of boxes you will receive a document pack, which includes our baggage,
storage and mini move services.
When using
our worldwide baggage service we will require the following –

An Inventory Form
·
Copy of your passport
·
A Customs Form, relating
to the destination country (if required, check website for details).
·
Signed contract / invoice
(completed upon collection with driver)
However
when using our storage or mini move service we will require the following:
The
inventory and contract forms are carbonated so all clients receive full copies
of all paperwork completed and signed for. This provides our client with the
added reassurance that Allfreight will carry out the service they have
contracted us to do.
We
do not accept any responsibility if your documentation is incomplete and
destination charges are levied as a result, or if this causes any unforeseen
delays. Our staff will always
advise when asked how to complete their paperwork to avoid any problems however
information / guide packs are provided.
12.
Late Documentation Charge
If
documentation is not available for our driver upon the given collection date an
additional late documentation charge could be incurred at a flat rate of £25.00
for administration.
13. Late Payment Charge
If
the payment for your consignment has not been received within 7 days of us
collecting your goods from your address then storage costs will be charged at a
flat daily rate.
14.
Payment (Final Settlement)
The Final
payment is to be made once Allfreight International has collected your entire
consignment. The prepaid Deposit is deducted from the overall charge to create
the Final Charge. This will then reflect the outstanding balance due for
settlement for the shipping, storage or mini move services provided by us.
Payment
can be made by Cash, Cheque, all major Credit or Debit Cards, Travelers Cheques
or by transfer directly into our bank. If you are paying by cheque the goods
will not be dispatched until your payment has cleared though our bank. Credit
card payments are subject to a 3% booking fee.
15.
Re-delivery / False call Surcharge
The
standard delivery and collection of boxes (within the M25) is Free however
should we have to revisit your residence due to a request for extra boxes then a
flat rate will be charged.
In
case of a mini move the redelivery is included in the original price however
should the client not be available on the delivery date given then an additional
false call charge will be incurred. A false call charge will also apply at a
flat rate of £25.00 when a client has booked our services and have failed to
meet our driver as arranged.
16.
Scheduled Daily Deliveries
The
deliveries, collections and re-deliveries are routed and scheduled using the
available vehicles. We are unable to provide our client with specific times due
to the large volumes of work and the unforeseen circumstances which can occur on
the road.
We ask our
clients to call us after 8.30am on the morning of delivery or collection
so we can
advise you if the driver will be with you in the morning (before 12 noon) or in
the afternoon (12 noon-7pm) Sometimes due to the workload our drivers may work
outside these hours, however if your delivery or collection is before 8.30am or
after 7pm you will be advised accordingly.
If you
make a booking please try to keep to the appointment as we may have had to turn
away other bookings to accommodate yours. If you cancel for whatever reason
without a minimum of 24 hours notice we reserve the right to make a false call
charge.

Special Delivery Times
In
the case of a specific timed delivery / collection we can provide our clients
with special delivery times however an additional cost will be charged at a flat
rate on request, based on the area in question.
18.
Transit Time
Transit
times given are on an estimated basis -
·
Sea -
between 8-12 weeks (approx)
·
Air
– between 7 – 10 days (approx)
·
European
– between 2 – 3 weeks (approx)
·
Mini
Move – between 3 -5 Days (Approx)

note that we can not be held responsible for delays beyond our control.
19.
Unsuitable Cartons
Free
packing materials are provided however if the client has chosen to use their own
boxes they must make sure they are suitable for moving (not wise to use
supermarket boxes). In the event
that the client boxes are not suitable we will advise the client that Allfreight
will have to repack their boxes. If a repack is essential then Allfreight will
charge £15.00 per box based on however many boxes require repacking.
20.
United with your goods
In
case of a storage / mini move service Allfreight’s customer service department
will contact you via your preferred contact details to confirm delivery dates
and delivery in order for the client to be reunited with their goods.
When sending goods overseas with Allfreight International via air / road / sea our, chosen B.A.R. representative / airline will contact our clients at destination in order to make sure that the client is united with their goods.
